Sale of BMCI: Baker Tilly Morocco acts as tax adviser to BNP Paribas

Baker Tilly Morocco advised on the Moroccan tax aspects of BNP Paribas’s sale of its majority stake in the Moroccan Bank for Trade and Industry.

As part of the agreement for BNP Paribas to sell its 67 per cent majority stake in the Moroccan Bank for Trade and Industry (BMCI BNP Paribas Group) to Holmarcom Finance Company, Baker Tilly Morocco acted as adviser on the Moroccan tax aspects of the transaction.

Faced with complex tax issues, our tax team provided its expertise to analyse and ensure the tax implications of this transaction were properly addressed, in coordination with all stakeholders.

This engagement was led by Mohamed HAMDACHE, Partner, with the close involvement of Marah ADNANI, Senior Tax Manager, and AHMED BOUTAIBI, Assistant Tax Manager.
